The Perfect Valentine’s Day Shoe

While I do tend to gravitate towards black shoes, I must admit that Valentine’s Day is the perfect excuse to indulge my love of all things pink, red and delightfully heart-shaped. I’ve been on the lookout in my quest for the perfect Valentine’s Day heel, and I think I’ve found some beauties!

These sexy little strappy platform sandals in red python from Chinese Laundry are at the top of my list this year! I love the burst of color against the beautiful texture and could totally envision these at the office with tights and maybe a tight red cardigan to pull the entire outfit together. If the red is a little to bright for your taste, these also come in black and beige.

Kate Spade "Genny"For the more traditional girl, you can’t go wrong with a delicate suede heart balanced upon rows of decorative stitching and a beautifully ladylike platform peep-toe. That subtle peek a boo of perfectly pedicured toes will have you beloved dropping to their knees to worship at your feet!

For a walk on the wild side, try these Alexander McQueen heart-shaped peep toe pumps on for size. I love the outrageously yellow sole and heel accents — there’s something very rock n’ roll, very tight leather jeans and low cut tops about these shoes. But if you don’t want to break your budget, Frederick’s carries an equally adorable and much more affordable version in black, pink, and red.

Vivienne Westwood AnglomaniaAnd for the fabulous fashionista who loves to play around with fashion and just have fun — these Vivienne Westwood Anglomania + Melissa Lady Dragon slingbacks are the grownup equivalent of wearing your heart on your sleeve.

What will you be wearing on Valentine’s Day? Me — I hope to be wearing a fabulous pair of heels…and little else!

omg, i LOVE the vivienne westwood ones. i’ve seen them before and the cartoon-like-ness and plasticky material were so jarring at first, but after that i weirdly adored them.
