Summertime…

I’ve been a bit scarce of late, and for that, I apologize. Things have been rather busy around here — in the past few weeks, I actually got a callback from one of the many resumes I send out every week, and had not one, but two interviews, both with positive outlooks for the same job. I’ve been a nervous wreck, both really wanting to get this job (it’s for a legal secretary — something that I really enjoy doing), and worrying about actually getting it (I’d be running an entire law office, and getting the job might mean that I wouldn’t get to go on an already planned family vacation. I’ve been unemployed since last October, and getting a job would mean a world of possibility for both D and I, like finally being able to replace poor D’s 13 year old car.

I’m still trying to live healthy and continue to lose weight, but things have not gone as well for me this past month. I’ve hit a plateau and instead of 2lbs a week, for the entire month of June, I’ve only lost 3 or 4 lbs. It’s been very frustrating, because I’m still following the same calorie restriction diet, recording ever calorie I consume, and exercising as much as I can. I finished the 30 Day Challenge on the Wii Active, and am looking forward to setting up a new workout schedule that’s more challenging. I’ve also been biking as much as I can, doing 7–10 miles a day and working up to 20 mile roundtrip bike trip with my sister-in-law. I’m not sure what’s causing my plateau, and I’m trying to stay motivated and not get discouraged by my lack of progress. I also bought a new digital scale to replace my old analog one, and that put me back a little bit because I weighed about 3 lbs more on the new scale — right now I’m at 198.4 lbs. Overall, I’m still doing very well — since I started, I’ve lost a total of 7 inches of my hips, 6 inches of my waist and 3 inches off my bust. I’m down to a size 16, and I got to thin out my closet and get rid of all of my “fat clothes”. But it’s been harder, not seeing the numbers on the scale change like I’d like them to.

I’m hoping to get back on track and regain my blogging mojo — I’ve got some great reviews coming up including some Candida Royale porn, several books, and another fabulous Liberator shape! I’ve also got a whole slew of new shoes to show off — another pair arrived in the mail today! I’m also hoping to write some more erotica (and maybe submit some of it) and take more pictures — taking self-portraits last week made me realize how much I miss being behind the camera. So look for more interesting self-portraits and a new series featuring my wonderful husband, D. Well, that’s all for now — here’s to more Sex and Shoes in the coming weeks!

Keep up the good work. Don’t worry about a plateau — they happen.

Looking forward to more of your pictures and writing.

Don’t get discouraged — you have made amazing progress! Not that I am an expert by any means but have you thought about adding some weights to your program?

Have you considered that your body has now adjusted to your lowered caloric intake. That is often what causes people attempting to loose weight to plateau. You may want to adjust your calories or do some more cardio to help you start losing again.

I originally found your blog through Penny (birdsaresmart), but I’ve recently started reading it more. I’m constantly turned on by both your pictures and your posts.

I wanted to point out that 1) the amount of weight you’ve lost is astounding and impressive. I’m sure you already know this and feel proud of yourself, but it never hurts to hear it again. 2) Losing 3–4 pounds a month isn’t called a plateau in dieting, especially considering that 2 pounds a week is the MAXIMUM suggested healthy weight loss.

So overall, you’re doing great — keep it up, and enjoy!
