I’m a Rocket Girl — Helix Rocket review.

One of the first toys I ever bought for myself was a glass dildo. Nothing fancy — it was just plain glass, but I still remember how amazing it felt. But as time went by, and other toys came into my possession, my glass dildo got left behind in the drawer, passed over for things that vibrated and buzzed. So when the lovely people at PinkCherry.com offered to send me the Don Wands Helix Rocket to try out, I wondered if I’d be able to recapture that magic that only glass can provide.

The Helix Rocket is gorgeous with a red swirl down the center of the realistic glass dildo. And since it’s made of borosilicate (the same stuff that Pyrex is made of), it’s completely non-porous, very easy to clean and sterilize, and extremely body friendly. And it can be used with pretty much any lube, even silicone lube! Finally, a toy I can use with all my silicone lubes! And it comes with a really nice padded case — thick and soft, perfect for storing such a beautiful object of pleasure!

But how does it feel — that is the ultimate test, isn’t it? Glass is weighty, unyielding, and capable of capturing temperature very nicely. When you pull it out of its padded case, it’s like treating yourself to something very nice. It comes with a sample of Wet Platinum lube — a silicone lube that’s really perfect with glass because it stays nice and slippery. The feeling of it entering me, so cold against my heated skin, so thick and firm. Glass doesn’t give an inch — you feel every inch of it entering you, pushing you open. It’s demanding in a way that nothing else is, and the way it fills you…its amazing. And feeling the thick ridge of the head heat up to your body temperature. Purrrrr.

And because it’s glass, and therefore completely sterilizable, you can use it vaginally or anally, and you could even share it. The thick base ensures that the dildo stands by itself on any level surface — I’m sure you can think of a couple of uses for that, and it gives you something to hang onto while using it anally. I just love that I can use it with all of my lubes, even with Boy Butter! I can’t believe I ever forgot how wonderful glass toys can be — and the Helix Rocket is definitely one of the nicest I’ve ever used!

That looks delicious! My candy cane glass dildo is a Don Wands one too, and it’s one of my favourite non-vibratey toys :)
