Fun Factory Laya Spot Review

Who­ever came up with the design for the Fun Fac­tory Laya Spot must have been hav­ing fun with it! A funny look­ing lit­tle two toned vibra­tor that is ergonom­i­cally curved to fit against the pubic mound, it cer­tainly doesn’t look like any other vibra­tor you’ve ever seen before! In fact, depend­ing on how you turn it, some­times it kind of looks like a striped shoe, and some­times it kind of looks like a killer whale. It’s def­i­nitely unusual!

When the Laya Spot first came out, it wasn’t actu­ally on my list of must-have toys. I already owned a sim­i­lar vibra­tor, the Lelo Lily, and I won­dered how dif­fer­ent the two toys could really be. But I kept hear­ing such good things about the Laya Spot and every­one who tried it had such won­der­ful things to say about it… Fun Fac­tory toys have never let me down before, so I decided to give the Laya Spot a try.

Unlike most of my other toys, the Fun Fac­tory Laya Spot takes two AAA bat­ter­ies — not a bat­tery that I usu­ally have lay­ing around, so I ended up rob­bing a TV remote for the bat­ter­ies. Instal­la­tion was nice and easy — the lit­tle cap on the end twists off, just pop in the bat­ter­ies, twist it back on and it’s ready to go! The instruc­tions were fairly self-explanatory, just press the “+” but­ton until the vibe gets to the strength you want, and then the Laya Spot will auto­mat­i­cally put the vibra­tions through a three stage cycle.

I think I might finally under­stand all of the buzz sur­round­ing the Laya Spot! I’m a fan of strong vibra­tors, and most of the bat­tery pow­ered vibra­tors just can’t com­pare to my go-to vibra­tor, the Hitachi Magic Wand. But this funny lit­tle vibra­tor is strong! Really strong. And quiet, too! Even at the high­est set­ting, I don’t think the noise was loud enough to be heard through our bed­room door. I was pretty impressed. The odd lit­tle curve fit right over the curve of my mons, and by part­ing my lips and putting the end right on top of my cli­toris and wig­gling it just a lit­tle, I found heaven and fast!

In fact, the Laya Spot has become my pre­ferred vibra­tor of choice espe­cially when we travel. I kept it in my purse on our trip up to St. Louis, and it fits per­fectly between between the fab­ric of my panties and the cloth of my jeans — it def­i­nitely made the trip more inter­est­ing! Right now we’ve got it packed with our travel kit of toys and rope, and I think I’m going to be tak­ing it to a play party later this month! And it cleans up very eas­ily — I use an antibac­te­r­ial spray toy cleaner. Just spray, wipe, and it’s ready to go!

The only prob­lem I had with the Laya Spot was that the cap (on the end where that bat­ter­ies go in) pops off rather eas­ily. It hasn’t caused me any trou­ble so far, but it has popped off just as I was orgas­ming, and I would have been kind of pissed had it popped off a few min­utes ear­lier, if you know what I mean!

EDIT: Prob­lem solved! I tried Adriana’s advice in the com­ments to try tight­en­ing the cap an extra half turn, and it fixed the prob­lem of the cap falling off! Thanks Adri­ana, and I now love my Laya Spot even more!
